Welcome to the BlogSpot page of Shahid Ahmed, the Chief Executive of Air21, who is leading his company into position as one of the most innovative and creative companies within the contact centre technology market.

Shahid began his working career as a stockbroker in Canary Wharf, having graduated from the Aston Business School in Birmingham. It did not take long for Shahid to realise that his real passion lay in technology, in large part due to the computer programming skills that he had developed as a youngster. It was then that his experience with telecoms from the banking world and his love of pioneering technology combined; he spotted an emerging technology called Voice over IP (VoIP) which was taking off in the USA and decided to set up his own company to bring this technology into the UK market. 

Shahid did this by establishing Air21, which he set up in 2007 with a modest team of ambitious employees. Air21 has since grown into a company recognised worldwide as one which produces dynamic solutions and bespoke telephony integrations. Air21’s predictive dialler system has been installed by numerous companies across the UK and in over twenty countries worldwide; it is the flagship example of how Air21 have made use of advancing technology to make a real impact in the world of telecommunications, maximising efficiency and reducing wastage for businesses.

Air21 have made a global impact due to their creative solutions for companies worldwide, and Shahid recently visited Montenegro to set up the system with a new customer; this turned into a project which demonstrated perfectly how an ability to ‘think outside the box’ has made Air21 so successful. Shahid realised upon arrival how poor the internet connection was, so used remote desktop software to ensure that staff members could work from home to get used to the system, whilst in the meantime he negotiated a better internet connection for the office itself. As the first time that Shahid had not had instant access to the same technologies as in the UK, it was a real challenge, but one which gave him great satisfaction to complete.
